I try to make a list for outfit answers when you send the questions in Instagram or Facebook messages; email, or comments.
I decided to jump on the outfit answers for some recent comments and questions…let’s begin with the top photo…and, obviously, I am not superstitious!
This questions came in on Instagram:
“What are you wearing to your grandson’s football games? You keep saying how warm these games are, so I image you wear shorts. But, we have never seen you in shorts.”
You are looking at what I wore last night…knit wide leg crops, with a short button down (that I have owned for years), and my gold metallic sneakers.
The only people who see me in shorts are at my YMCA, and my family…I will not subject anyone else to that!
And something else I have owned for years is my parasol.
It is perfect for outdoor football games as long as I do not block anyone else from seeing their grandsons play.
With parasols, I will sit on the top bleacher or in an athletic chair and keep it low to my head…I do prefer it to hats.
This one was gifted to me from another blogger years ago, and I did use it while my own sons played football.
I am resigned to the fact that the Monday night games are hot. Two weeks ago, I came home, peeled off the sweaty clothes and jumped into the shower.
But, I am not uncomfortable enough to go out in shorts.
YOU ASKED…HERE ARE OUTFIT ANSWERS – MY DAUGHTER’S DRESS
Here is my beautiful daughter all decked out for her black tie event in the dress we shopped for at Dillard’s last week.
The dress is the XSCAPE Velvet Off The Shoulder Split Neck Long Sleeve Pleated Front Gathered Back Gown in hunter green.
She did see one other woman in the same dress at the museum gala. I guess no matter our ages…we want to be in the only one.
YOU ASKED…HERE ARE OUTFIT ANSWERS – YOUR CARDIGAN
I was asked this question about the outfit I had on in yesterday’s post:
“Tell me about the cardigan that you are wearing in today’s post. Did you purchase it at Addie’s Boutique or somewhere else?”
This is another oldie but goodie in my wardrobe. It is a light, linen cardigan from Soft Surroundings and the necklace is also from there.
It is so easy to wear during this time when the weather is still warm but the calendar says autumn.
YOU ASKED…HERE ARE OUTFIT ANSWERS – BIGGEST SHOPPING CHALLENGE
Finally for today, I was asked about personal shopping challenges:
“Pamela, is your biggest shopping challenge right now finding spring colors in autumn?”
You might be surprised, but the answer is NO. There are plenty of opportunities for women in every palette right now…stunning colors are out there.
I hope you know I am being honest with you, but these are my biggest shopping challenges currently:
- I have confessed to weight gain and it will take awhile to get it off. I do not like to purchase new clothing that is not flattering to who I am right now. But, I so hope the work I am doing will once again pay off…it just takes more time at my age.
 - It’s taken almost five years for me to accept that I lead a much different life now and do not need to look every day like I am going to the office. I can still use my loved style adjectives, but go more elevated casual than professional. I still want my casual clothing to say polished, creative, current, joyful and approachable. But when I am going for polished, I no longer need to look like I am walking into an office building. I actually would like to start leaning a little heavier on the creative adjective….which for some of you would be the same as artsy or dramatic.

With all of that said, I love shopping challenges…I find them to be motivating…believe it or not. Gaining weight is a mental battle to get over, but I am determined to work on it and not allow it permission to get me down.
There you have it girls….you asked…here are outfit answers. I hope some of you found this helpful.
I will be here tomorrow with current lifestyle headlines in one location just for you…so until then…
KEEP SMILING!!
