Happy Monday, all! Today I am discussing how I have learned how Retail Partnerships Build Strong Communities…and it is an exciting lesson.
Since moving to a smaller community, I have seen how retail partnerships build strong communities through support of one another including creators and artisans.
I did not experience this in the big city…where boutique owners worked with local creators in retail partnerships to support one another.
This past Saturday, I attended, yet another, special event at Addie’s Boutique where she was showcasing the work of a local creator…I have met several in her boutique.
Then when I go out to other events in other retail locations, I often see the people I have met…for a newbie, this has been so important to melting me into the local community of women.
So, join me as I share with you why Addie does these retail partnerships and what was going on this past Saturday.
RETAIL PARTNERSHIPS BUILD STRONG COMMUNITIES – WHY SHE DOES IT
Addie is joined here by her beautiful niece, Clara, who often is in store to assist.
They both possess that joyful spirit with a true desire to be a part of a strong community of women.
I asked her to explain why she does these retail partnerships so often in her boutique:
“We do not have to go far to discover quality, creative talent from people in our every day lives. There are so many with exceptional skills to offer, that they should be recognized for their work. Creators fashion beauty from their hearts and souls. They literally breathe life into their creations and experience joy sharing with their customers. I love to see my boutique community engage with them and encourage them in their small businesses. We are here for one another.”
I know that I have experienced joy getting to know more of these talented ladies. Addie shows great wisdom in opening her doors to them.
And I do believe it strengthens her business as well.
So many would feel threatened by sales going to a visiting artisan. Yet, every time I have been to one of these events at Addie’s, both the creator and the boutique are making sales.
Here is how AI puts it:

RETAIL PARTNERSHIPS BUILD STRONG COMMUNITIES – MEET ADIEL DESIGNS
Meet Emma, an incredibly talented young wife and mom, who also owns a design business called ADIEL DESIGNS.
I love her business name…ADIEL means “God is my Ornament”
She is so popular that her custom orders are now closed for 2025. But, in addition to fabulous quilt-designs for jackets, she also makes some decor and jewelry.
You see global influences in many of Emma’s designs.
She is from Mexico…met her husband in Israel…and moved to his home of Abilene when they married.
But, let me tell you…it is her jackets that are incredible and I hope to one day own one.
I watched women of all ages trying on the jackets on Saturday…and she sold out!
Younger ladies are loving the short jackets with their jeans….and apparently, those in our age groups are too.
Emma is modeling in the picture below, the same jacket I am wearing in the top photo today…it is reversible…and that is alot of work.
And, the way she designs these jackets requires so much skill because they all are flattering in the fit…though some oversized.
The jacket I am wearing was purchased by a petite lady and she looks so cool wearing it.
I hope someday to attend an event she is doing and find that same design in warmer colors. I love it!
And she can make a denim jacket standout coming and going!
This is making fashion fun.
Every time I attend Addie’s retail partnerships, I meet someone new as well as see familiar faces.
I am always blown away by the talent in this community.
RETAIL PARTNERSHIPS BUILD STRONG COMMUNITIES – WHEN AT ADDIE’S….
Of course, when at Addie’s Boutique, I shop Addie’s Boutique…as most of us were doing that day.
I do have a cute vest to show you soon…when we get some cooler weather!
The retail partnerships give me an opportunity to get style inspiration from the boutique along with the creator.
I can just envision this blouse under one of Emma’s jackets.

I am sold on the benefits of retail partnerships like my friend, Addie, supports…but the biggest benefit is building stronger communities by fostering relationships between local women.
